Potions

This is my first time seeing religious ones but yeah, they make big pixel-art-esque soda art all the time everywhere in the US
Amortentia
On stressed nights, the ladies of Slytherin gather in a section of the common room to brew potions. Amortentia is a favorite among them, as the fumes are pleasing to the ladies, inducing calm and happiness. Potion-brewing is an art form that is quite personal, so actively brewing the potions together is a privy act that transforms those nights into sleepover nights, and because it is an unwritten rule in the common room to not intrude upon closed groups unless invited, they are left to enjoy themselves to the envy of those around.
Ravenclaws that go through existential crises every other week because of things they’re reading though
- like “WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE HAVE POTIONS HOMEWORK? I’M TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHETHER OTHER MEANS OF TORTURE ARE ACTUALLY MORE ETHICAL THAN THE CRUCIATUS AND IF NOT THEN WHY ARE THEY LEGAL”
- or “I AM CALLING OFF QUIDDITCH PRACTICE TODAY BECAUSE I HAVE TO THINK ABOUT WHY QUIDDITCH IS DIVIDED BY HOUSES”
- or “I CAN’T GO TO RUNES BECAUSE I AM TOO UPSET ABOUT WITCH HUNTS IN THE MIDDLE AGES; IMAGINE WHAT THAT WOULD BE LIKE JUST IMAGINE IT”
- or “BUT WHY IS OUR CURRENCY SO ILLOGICAL CAN’T WE FIX IT”
- or “HOW DOES MAGIC GET PASSED DOWN BUT THEN ALSO APPEAR AT RANDOM NOBODY CAN EXPLAIN IT IS IT IN OUR BODIES OR IN OUR MINDS OR WHAT” (just calm down and come to transfiguration okay) “I WILL NOT CALM DOWN AND I WILL NOT COME TO TRANSFIGURATION”
- “IF YOU VANISH A THING AND CONJURE IT AGAIN IS IT THE SAME MATTER” “IS IT THE SAME ESSENCE” (it’s okay. just vanish the pincushion) “IT’S NOT OKAY”
“He was determined to discover the underlying logic behind the universe. Which was going to be hard, because there wasn’t one.” -Terry Pratchett, Mort
Sir Terry Pratchett accuratly explains our woes once again.

Founder: Septimus Slytherclaw
Colors: Teal and Obsidian
Mascot: Parrotfish
Attributes: Calculating | Witty | Fierce | Innovative | Seductive
Common Room: Located behind a sliding panel in the potions classroom, Slytherclaws must, using clues, identify and drink the correct potion from a set of seven, which changes every week. This entry technique is where Severus Snape got the idea for his defense of the Philosopher’s Stone.

Sharp as glass and twice as bright, Slytherclaws are perhaps the fiercest academic competitors in the school, for not only do they have the intelligence to succeed, but the ambition to do whatever it takes. Often excelling at delicate arts such as potions and transfiguration above all, many of the most famous names in the magical sciences are “former” Slytherclaws, but, as any of them will tell you, “Once a Slytherclaw, forever a Slytherclaw.” Their modern common room contains a fountain and a neatly-organized “library” of perfectly-brewed potion bottles arranged by color so that students can compare their own.

817. Broke muggleborn potions experts make Polyjuice and work as doubles for muggle celebrities when they don’t want to be followed. This confuses the tabloids and makes most photos of them unusable.
Thunderbird Common Room Headcanons
-Thunderbirds are super messy due to the challenges and experiments that they do. The Common Room is quite possibly one of the messiest places in all of the school.
-They have a lot of cork boards/pinboards/chalkboards hung up in the common room. Some of them include:
-the Notice Board. General notices like Study for Quiz in Potions! or Quiddotch Tryouts (something like that anyway)
-The Challenge Board. Each week, there is a new challenge for the Thunderbirds to complete. Past challenges include: climb up the snake wood tree and learn a new language.
-The Adventure Board. On this board are submissions from housemates about what they want to do when they get older. Submissions can be anonymous or be signed by whoever wrote it. It’s kind of like a huge bucket list with lots of pictures.
-Past Thunderbirds and Where They Are Now. Basically just famous Thunderbirds. Often used for inspiration.
-There is a gigantic bookcase in the room, one of the biggest in the school (besides Horned Serpents’ Common Room). Thunderbirds love books because they get to have adventures with heir favorite characters. The bookcase also contains several magazines for collages, particularly travel magazines.
-In the center of the common room is a fire pit surrounded by couches. They often hold bonfires on special occasions. On holidays, at the end of school, etc. They even have one on the first or second day of school to ‘'initiate’ and make the first years feel welcome. (Thunderbirds learn to really love toasted marshmallows.)
Caught in a rather good romance
It sounds like I’m playing a video game and someone is trying to sell me potions. :D
…that is exactly what it sounds like
